I've been asked numerous times, "Should I be dressing differently now that I'm a mom or now that I'm 'older'?"
My answer is always, "Dress how YOU want to dress!!!"
But first, ask yourself...
Is this MY style?
...Are you perfectly happy shopping in the juniors department for trendy and fun styles?
Great!!! When you're wearing the styles that fit you and your personality, why change that because of your age or because of motherhood?
Does it actually fit (my body)?
...Let's say, you do shop in the juniors department. Quite often, the sizing is smaller than the women's department pieces, so make sure you're sizing up! Clothes that aren't the correct size (or style) for our body type can obviously be too tight and/or short which is no longer stylish or age appropriate. Clothing with the right fit will look great on you when it not only fits your personality, but your body as well!

Am I modeling a good example with how I dress?
If you are a mom (or maybe not a mom, but have younger girls in your life), what kind of example are you showing them with the way you dress? If they mimicked your style, would you be happy or not impressed? That's a great indicator of whether or not you are dressing appropriately. They are watching and learning from you. How might you be influencing them?
At the end of the day, it's really all about your personal choice. There's no magical age or time in life where you suddenly have to stop caring about cute outfits and cover yourself from head to toe and throw out all your make up!
As long as you are being authentically you and that authenticity still honors God through modesty.
We were created in His image and we should uphold that, not only with
our actions but our outer appearance as well!
You are His masterpiece after all!
